Cynosure Elite IQ Laser for Laser Hair Removal and Laser Skin Treatment
SO SMART IT READS YOUR SKIN BEFORE REMOVING A SINGLE HAIR
Cynosure Elite IQ laser is our work horse dual-wavelength aesthetic laser. We use the Elite IQ™ for many treatments, including laser hair removal, vascular lesions (rosacea, facial and leg veins), pigmented lesions (sun damage, age spots), benign lesions (warts, skin tags, moles), skin rejuvenation (wrinkles, fine lines, skin tightening, psoriasis), Scar removal (acne scars).
Elite iQ platform offers customized laser hair removal treatments for all skin types including the back, face, chest, underarms, arms, legs, and bikini area.
With the patented SkinTel® technology, the Elite IQ has the only FDA cleared melanin reader that adjusts to your exact skin type and colour. It finds the perfect setting for every skin tone, from fair to dark (and tanned), and every hair texture, from fine to coarse hairs.
It allows our practitioners to identify test spot settings, optimizing hair removal treatments tailored to each of our client’s skin type and ethnicity. There is no more judging skin types by eye or second guessing if a patient has been in the sun. SkinTel® allows our practitioners to know the right parameters for treatment, allowing for the ideal laser skin treatment that is safe and effective.
HOW DOES ELITE IQ LASER WORK?
The Elite IQ contains two lasers, a 755 nm Alexandrite laser, and a 1064 nm Nd: YAG laser. The combination of these two wavelengths plus the SkinTel® reader, makes the Elite IQ the best hair removal laser on the market.
WHAT IS THE OPTIMAL WAVELENGTH FOR LASER HAIR REMOVAL?
The absorption of melanin corresponds to wavelengths from 400 to 1200 nm. However, the best hair removal laser has wavelengths of 600 to 1100 nm, which is the optimal wavelengths for more selective absorption by melanin and deeper penetration into the skin.
The two wavelengths can treat all skin types for laser hair removal. The Alexandrite is ideal for lighter hair and lighter skin types whereas the YAG laser is ideal for patients with darker skin tones. The dual wavelengths are ideal for excessive hair growth, especially of the arm pits, face, and bikini lines. It can treat razor bumps (pseudo folliculitis) effectively as well.
2020 LASER HAIR REMOVAL AND BEYOND
A real revolution in the history of laser hair removal happened in 2020 with the launch of Cynosure Elite IQ laser. With this new SkinTel® technology, practitioners can now accurately measure the skin melanin content, improving treatment test spot settings and identify skin colouration changes during the patients laser treatment.
Also, Cynosure Elite IQ laser is now faster and more efficacious, with a higher energy output for both Alexandrite (+19%) and Nd:YAG (+43%), giving patients a faster, safer, and more effective treatment.
Q & A for Skin Rejuvenation
Our non-ablative laser skin rejuvenation treatment is the best treatment that works on dark spots, brown spots, liver spots, age spots, melasma. The treatment offers no downtime and with little risk of damaging or scarring the skin. The laser is attracted to dark pigment and breaks down the pigment into tiny particles where it is flushed out by your immune system.
With laser skin rejuvenation, the energy from the laser is absorbed by the dermis, the heat that is generated as a result encourages it to start the process of collagen and elastin growth. Our non-ablative PicoSure and Elite IQ lasers stimulate collagen synthesis and tighten and removing the fine lines on your skin.
There is no downtime for our non-ablative laser skin rejuvenation treatments. The most common side effects that may come with laser treatment for skin rejuvenation are skin irritation, redness, skin peeling, and swelling. Pigment will darken for 1-3 weeks following the treatment, then will begin to fade.
Avoid the sun. The American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) recommends wearing a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher every day. This protects against approximately 97% of the sun's UV rays.
Laser skin rejuvenation treatments can take years off your age. As you proceed with the laser treatments, each session will increase the collagen and elastin production. The sessions you do can last for a few years but as you fight the aging process, we do recommend a maintenance session once every six months.
